This is a temporary (off-topic) post to test Facebook Connect integration with Intensedebate.
It currently allows you to associate your Facebook public profile with your comment, and later releases should also hopefully allow your comment to be published back to your Facebook account.
If you want to try it out, login using the Facebook Connect icon when leaving a comment.
If you have something Irish to say – even better!
Slainte!
Mick.
Info: if Facebook Connect is new to you:
Facebook Connect makes it easier for you to take your online identity with you over the Web. You won’t have to create separate accounts for every website, just use your Facebook login wherever Connect is available.

Testing ID after WP2.8 update
Does Intense Debate / Facebook Connect post comments to my Facebook Profile / Wall or to your FaceBook profile / wall?
What about Twitter? How does it integrate with Twitter?
How easy was it to setup the Facebook Connect?
I use DisQus on my blog … how does that compare to Intense Debate?
Hi Kingsley,
You're not talking to a developer here, just a user trying it out. To try and answer some of your questions to the best of my knowledge though…
ID FC doesn't post comments to either wall at present, I believe they will be adding the functionality to post to the commenters wall at some stage (soon hopefully). Setting it up was a breeze.
Havn't tested Twitter integration so not the best person to feedback on that one.
I tried to install DisQus before loading ID but it failed to run properly (reason unknown). Then loaded ID and worked ok first time. I don't think there's a great difference in functionality so I simply stuck with the one that worked for me. (From an aesthetic perspective I prefer the look of Disqus, but will be staying with ID unless a gap develops).
Testing to see whether this get posted back on my wall
my comment did not make it back to my facebook wall…. did yours ?

Hi Antonio / Shamala,
I don't think ID have implemented the functionality yet. Will be good if and when they do though!
